DEPOSIT AND BOOKING
A deposit of $350 plus $271 Insurance (optional) payable to Adriatic Pilgrimages is required per person at the time of booking, but not later than March 1, 2008. Balance is due 90 days prior to departure. If less then 90, full payment is required plus $100 late fee penalty.

You may make your final payment with your credit card for 4% additional fee.

All prices quoted in this flyer are based on airfares, land rates and exchange rates in effect January 2007 and on group rates of 32 passengers or more. All prices are subject to change without notice prior to departure due to major currency fluctuations, fuel prices and/or unforeseen economic circumstances.
Please complete the booking form with full names as they appear on passports, and mail it to us with your deposit of $350 per person plus insurance $271 (optional). * 119-91 days before departure $250 pp;

* 30-1 day prior to departure date or no show – No Refund.

MILAN/PADUA

Arrive Milan Airport at 7:55AM where we will be welcomed to Italy by our tour escort and motor coach drive. We will have a panoramic city tour of the center of Milan including the famous Duomo and the Galleria Vittorio Emmanuele. Then we drive to Padua, the home of St. Anthony where we visit the richly decorated tomb inside the Basilica that contains the remains of the beloved miracle worker. Then to our hotel.

VENICE

This morning we begin with a guided half-day city tour in Venice. Transfer by a private steamer (vaporetto) to St. Mark’s Square to visit the Golden Basilica of San Marco, the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark’s Square and the Doges’ Palace (from outside). Time at leisure to explore Venice on our own before returning to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

PADUA/FLORENCE (Montecatini Terme)

Depart this morning to Florence, the splendid capital of Tuscany. Our guided tour of Florence includes the Santa Croce Basilica, the Cathedral of Piazza della Signoria, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistry’s heavy bronze “Gate of Paradise” and sculpture-studded Signoria Square. We will have free time to browse through the shops in before returning back to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

FLORENCE/SIENA/ASSISI

Depart this morning to Siena, the birthplace of Saints Catherine and Bernardine. Here we will stroll the Piazza Del Campo; one of Italy’s finest squares and visit the Cathedral and the Basilica of St. Francis, containing the miraculous consecrated hosts that remained intact since 1730. View the incorrupt head of St. Catherine at the Basilica of St. Dominic. Continue to Assisi and to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

ASSISI/CASCIA/SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO

In the morning, we explore the hilltop birthplace of St. Francis. In the crypt of St. Francis Basilica lies the tomb of one of the most beloved saints of all time, St. Francis of Assisi. See the Basilica of St. Clare, and the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angel where the Miracle of the Eucharist of Assisi took place in 1240, and the Porziuncola (located on the lower plains of Assisi). Continue to Cascia and visit the Basilica of St. Rita and Chapel with St. Rita’s incorrupt body. Then we drive to San Giovanni Rotondo.

SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO/MONTE SANT’ANGELO

This morning we see the places associated with Saint Pio. Visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Grace that houses the tomb of Saint Pio. See his room and confessional and the Crucifix from which Padre Pio received the stigmata. Later, visit the Grotto of Michael the Archangel in Monte Sant’Angelo. Six different Popes have knelt in prayer here seeking the protection of St. Michael. Return to San Giovanni Rotondo.

SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO/MONTECASSINO/ROME

We depart San Giovanni and drive towards Rome. En route, we stop in Monte Cassino, a beautiful town founded by St. Benedict in 529. Arrive Rome later in the afternoon.

ROME/VATICAN MUSEUMS

This morning we visit the heart, home, and spiritual capital for over one billion Catholics around the world. St. Peter’s Basilica offers the devout pilgrim an experience never to be forgotten. Visit the tomb of Pope John Paul II and then to the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel to admire the works of Michelangelo. In the afternoon visit the Basilica of St. Mary Major and the Basilica of St. John in Lateran and the Holy Stairs.

PAPAL AUDIENCE/BASILICA

After early breakfast, transfer to the Vatican City to join pilgrims from around the world for an audience with his holiness Pope Benedict XVI (subject to Holy Father health and schedule). Following the audience, we will have free time to explore the shops around the Vatican City and in the afternoon, we visit the Basilica of St. Paul’s Outside the Walls.
