OLD CAIRO/CHURCHES
After late breakfast, we take our motor coach to Cairo, visiting the famous Citadel of Saladdin, Mohammed Ali Mosque and enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Then to Old Cairo, visiting the Hanging Church, the Coptic Museum and Abu Serga Church. Later, visit the Church of St. Mary in Zeitoun, where many people witnessed the miraculous apparition of the Blessed Mother. We will have time for shopping before returning back to our hotel.

CAIRO/PYRAMIDS/SPHINX/EGYPTIAN MUSEUM
This morning, we start with the Egyptian Museum with Tutankhamen’s fabulous treasures. Then leave for ancient Memphis to admire the 40-foot statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx. On to Sakkara’s Step Pyramid and the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. This evening we will enjoy dinner on the Nile River Cruise with entertainment.

CAIRO/SINAI
Today, after breakfast and some time at leisure, we will stop at the Sadat Memorial before we depart Cairo and drive by the Suez Canal and the desert landscapes of the Sinai Peninsula. We will stop at some oasis and water wells before we continue to our lodging near St. Catherine Monastery.

MT SINAI/ST. CATHERINE/RED SEA/TABA
A wake-up call at 2:00am for those who wish to make the four-hour climb to the top of Mount Sinai, which is believed to be the location where Moses received the Ten Commandments. Down to the famous St. Catherine’s Monastery, built in the sixth century to protect what was believed to be the Burning Bush. Later we drive to our Hotel Resort on the Red Sea to spend a restful afternoon and overnight.

TABA/MASADA/QUMRAN/JERUSALEM
Today we drive to the border crossing into Israel. We pass by Eilat and then to Masada, where we take the cable to see the ruins. We stop at the Dead Sea for a short visit to feel the salty water of the Dead Sea. Continue to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Then we drive up to Jerusalem.

MT. OF OLIVES/GETHSEMANE/BETHLEHEM/EIN KAREM
We start our day with the Mount of Olives, Church of Pater Noster, down to Dominus Flevit and St. Mary Magdalene Church, Garden of Gethsemane and on to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, Holy Manger, the Basilica of St. Catherine, the Milk Grotto and then the Shepherds’ Field. On the way back to Jerusalem, we stop in Ein Karem to visit the Church of the Visitation.

JERUSALEM/OLD CITY
Early morning transfer to the Old City to walk the Way of the Cross as a group from the first station until we enter the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Visit Golgotha and the empty tomb of Our Lord. Back to the hotel for breakfast and later we will have a panoramic tour of New Jerusalem passing by the Shrine of the Book and the Knesset. Then we walk through the Cardo to the Western Wall and the Dome of the Rock. On Mount Zion, we visit the Room of the Last Supper, the House of Caiaphas and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu.

This morning we drive to Bethany to visit the church, built on the traditional site of the House of Mary and Martha, and down to Lazarus Tomb. We continue through the Judean wilderness to Jericho to view Mount of Temptation and the ruins of ancient Jericho.

JERUSALEM/HAIFA/MOUNT CARMEL/CANA/NAZARETH
We depart Jerusalem to Haifa and up to Mount Carmel for a panoramic view of the coastline and Galilee. Visit Stella Maris Carmelite Monastery and Elijah’s Cave. Continue to Cana, the traditional site where Jesus performed His first public miracle. We conclude our day in Nazareth, visiting the Church of the Annunciation, Holy Grotto, Church of St. Joseph and Mary’s Well.

GALILEE/CAPERNAUM/MOUNT BEATITUDES/RIVER JORDAN/MOUNT TABOR
Today we will explore the Galilee Region and sites along the Sea of Galilee. We start with Mount Tabor and the monastery, built on the traditional site of Mount Transfiguration, then to Capernaum where Jesus preached in the synagogue and St. Peter’s House. Up to the Mount of Beatitudes and visit the Catholic Church and Monastery; Tabgha, where Jesus multiplied the loaves and fish; and the baptismal site at the River Jordan. Today, we will enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.

TIBERIAS/BORDERCROSSING/PETRA
Today, we cross the borders into Jordan and drive to the Red Rose City of Petra. Upon arrival, we begin an unforgettable trip on horse back till the Siq, afterward by foot till we reach the Treasury. Our guide will give us a brief history of the greatest attraction in the Middle East. The Nabatean carved this capital (Petra) from the rock of the surrounding mountains. Amongst the monuments are Pharaoh’s Castle, the Triumphal Arch, and the Amphitheater.

PETRA/DEAD SEA
We will spend more time in Petra before we drive towards Madaba and Mount Nebo. We view the “Promised Land” as Moses and later Pope John Paul II did. In Madaba, visit the church, home to a beautiful sixth century mosaic map of the Holy Land. We go down to the Baptismal site, which has been recently identified as the place where John the Baptist baptized the people. Continue to the Dead Sea.

We will spend a leisurely morning at the Dead Sea and then we drive towards Amman for a panoramic tour and later enjoy our farewell dinner before transferring to the airport.
