A deposit of $350.00 plus $271.00 insurance (optional) payable to Adriatic Pilgrimages is required per person at the time of booking, but not later than May 20, 2008. Balance is due on or before June 20, 2008. Any bookings after June 21, 2008 will be subject to availability and full payment is required plus late booking fee will apply.

All prices quoted in this flyer are based on airfares, land rates and exchange rates in effect January 2007 and on group rates of 32 passengers or more. Upon arrival we will be welcomed to Italy by our Tour Escort. We continue to Padua, the home of St. Anthony, patron saint of things lost. Visit the richly decorated tomb inside the basilica that contains the remains of the beloved miracle-worker. Then to our hotel.

PADUA/SIENA/ORVIETO
Depart this morning to Siena, the birthplace of Saints Catherine and Bernardine. Here we will stroll the Piazza Del Campo; one of Italy’s finest squares and visit the Cathedral and the Basilica of St. Francis, containing the miraculous consecrated host that remained intact since 1730. Continue to Orvieto to see the Cathedral, located in the town’s main square and is the landmark of the tiny city. View the holy corporal containing the blood from the Eucharistic Miracle of Orvieto in 1263 that occasioned the proclamation of the Feast Corpus Christi.

Today we explore the hilltop birthplace of St. Francis. In the crypt of St. Francis Basilica lies the tomb of one of the most beloved saints of all time, St. Francis of Assisi. See the Basilica of St. Clare and the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and the place where the miracle of the Eucharist of Assisi took place in 1240, and the Porziuncola (located on the lower plains of Assisi)

ASSISI/CASCIA/LORETO/ANCONA
Depart this morning to Cascia, the site of our next Eucharistic miracle. Visit the Basilica of St. Rita, the Chapel with St. Rita’s incorrupt body, the Eucharistic miracle, relics of St. Rita, including her wedding ring and habit in the Monastery of St. Rita, and the Crucifix from which St. Rita received the stigmata. We follow the Adriatic coast to the great Marian Shrine of Loreto to see the family home of Jesus, Mary and Joseph located inside the Basilica of Loreto, where it has been since 1294. We drive to Ancona and board with our bus the overnight ferry boat to Croatia. Thursday, September 18, 2008
SPLIT/MEDJUGORJE
Arrive Split in the morning, where we take our bus and drive to Medjugorje. We spend the afternoon exploring this peaceful place. After dinner, we can join villagers and pilgrims for the evening Mass and the blessing of the sick.

MEDJUGORJE
This morning we attend the English Mass at St. James Church and later we accompany our local guide as we follow the same path up the apparition hill where the young visionaries first encountered Our Lady. Our guide will arrange a meeting with one of the visionaries in front of their homes or a public place (subject to their schedule and health).

MEDJUGORJE/SPLIT
After Holy Mass at St. James Church, we depart Medjugorje to Split. We will have a tour of the old city with its Roman heritage. Visit the Roman ruins and the Cathedral of St. Doimus, the town’s patron saint. Overnight ferry boat to Ancona.

SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO/MONTE SANT’ANGELO
We will spend the day in and around San Giovanni to see the places associated with St. Pio. Visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Grace that houses the tomb of Padre Pio. Later, we visit the Grotto of Michael the Archangel in Monte Sant’Angelo. Many Popes have knelt in prayer here seeking the protection of St. Michael.

This morning we drive to Rome, stopping en route at Montecassino, a beautiful town founded by St. Benedict in 529, and later at Genazzano, a city rich in history and blessed with the presence of a miraculous painting of the Mother of Good Council, that has an amazing story. Arrive Rome in the afternoon.

Transfer to the Vatican City for the weekly papal audience (subject to the Holy Father’s health and schedule). Following the audience, we visit the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. After a panoramic tour of the city, we return to our hotel.

This morning we visit the heart, home and spiritual capital for Catholics around the world. Visit St. Peter’s Basilica, the crypt of Pope John Paul II, and then to the other major Basilicas of Rome: the Basilica of St. Mary Major, and the Basilica of St. John in Lateran plus the Holy Stairs. Afternoon at leisure.
