All prices quoted in this flyer are based on airfares, land rates and exchange rates in effect January 2007 and on group rates of 32 passengers or more. Arrive Los Angeles Airport at 5:00am and connect with CO1403 departing Los Angeles at 7:00am. Arrive Newark at 3:23pm. Depart Newark on CO64 at 8:15pm for our transatlantic flight to Lisbon.

LISBON/SANTAREM/FATIMA
Arrive Lisbon Airport at 8:15am where we will be welcomed by our tour escort and bus driver. We will have a panoramic tour of Lisbon with visits to the Basilica of St. Anthony of Padua, St. Jeronimo’s Monastery and Belem Tower. Continue to Santarem, home to one of the oldest Eucharistic miracles in the world. Arrive Fatima later in the afternoon.

FATIMA
We spend the day in and around Fatima. Visit the Chapel of the Apparitions, the Basilica with the tombs of Francisco and Jacinta, Perpetual Adoration Chapel, Monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In Aljustrel and Valinhos, we see the two homes of the little shepherds, Stations of the Cross, site of the first and third visit of the “Angel of Peace”, site of our Lady’s fourth apparition, we stop at the Parish Church where the seers were baptized, and the cemetery where Francisco and Jacinta were once buried. After dinner, participate in the nightly candlelight procession.

FATIMA/COIMBRA/SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Depart Fatima and drive towards Spain. We stop in Coimbra to visit the Carmelite convent where Sr. Lucia lived until her death. Continue to Santiago de Compostela, that was once the most popular pilgrimage destinations outside of Rome and Jerusalem in the middle ages. We visit the beautiful Cathedral where the relics of St. James are enshrined in the crypt below the high altar. Attend the pilgrim’s mass and participate in religious activities.

SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA/BURGOS
This morning we continue our drive in Spain. Arrive Burgos, the land of the legendary hero El Cid. The most outstanding monument in Burgos is the Cathedral, which is on the world heritage list and one of the jewels of universal Gothic architecture. Browse leisurely in the old city before going to our hotel.

BURGOS/BARCELONA/MONTSERRAT
We depart Burgos and drive towards Barcelona for a panoramic city tour with its elegant tree-lined Ramblas and Plaza de Cataluna, historic buildings and the famous Church of the Holy Family. Then to the sanctuary of Our Lady of Montserrat to see the Statue of Our Lady and the cave where tradition says the statue was found.

After breakfast, we take a leisurely drive through Spain, crossing the borders into France. Arrive Lourdes in the afternoon. After dinner, join pilgrims from around the world in the nightly rosary and candle light procession.

150TH ANNIVERSARY OF OUR LADY OF LOURDES
During our stay in Lourdes, we will visit the historical and spiritual sites associated with Bernadette, the visionary child of Lourdes. We begin with Holy Mass at the Grotto of the Apparitions, and then continue on a guided walking tour visiting the Basilica of St. Pius X, Boly Mill, Soubirous family home, the Basilica of the Rosary, Miraculous Spring and the Healing Baths.

We depart Lourdes and drive to the beautiful French Riviera, passing through many beautiful cities on the Mediterranean Sea. Arrive Nice and transfer to our hotel for dinner; afterwards we can take a walk along the Boulevard Des Anglais, and enjoy the beautiful scenery on the Mediterranean Sea.

NICE/PISA/ASSISI
This morning we depart Nice and stop for a view of Monte Carlo and Monaco Principality. We cross the border into Italy and drive towards Pisa for a short visit of the Leaning Tower and adjacent church and buildings. Arrive Assisi late in the afternoon.

ASSISI/CASCIA/ROME
This morning we explore the hilltop birthplace of St. Francis. In the crypt of St. Francis Basilica lies the tomb of one of the most beloved saints of all time, St. Francis of Assisi. See the Basilica of St. Clare, the Church of St. Damian, Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and the Porziuncola. On to Cascia, the site of a Eucharistic miracle. Visit the Basilica of St. Rita and the Chapel with St. Rita’s incorrupt body. Continue to Rome.

PAPAL AUDIENCE/ROME
Transfer to the Vatican City to join pilgrims from around the world for an audience with his holiness Pope Benedict XVI (subject to Holy Father’s schedule and health). Following the audience, we visit the Basilica of St. Peter and the crypt of Pope John Paul II, and then to the Basilica of St. John In Lateran and the Holy Stairs. We will have a panoramic city tour by bus passing by Imperial Rome, the Forum, the Coliseum and the many piazzas and fountains.

ROME/TIVOLI
This morning we visit the Basilica of St. Mary Major and the Basilica of St. Paul’s Outside the Walls. Then we drive to Tivoli to see Villa D’Este, famous for its water system and the architecture of its gardens and fountains. Then we drive to the area of the Castelli Romani and stop in Castelgandolfo, today’s summer residence of the Pope. Return to Rome.
