DEPOSIT AND BOOKING
A deposit of $350.00 plus $131.00 insurance (optional) payable to Adriatic Pilgrimages is required per person at the time of booking, but not later than May 15, 2008. Balance is due on or before July 22, 2008. Any bookings after July 23, 2008 will be subject to availability and full payment is required plus $100.00 fee for late booking.

Please note: The airlines are now adding fuel surcharges to their taxes. Additional fuel surcharges are subject to change up to 25 days prior to departure date.

All prices quoted in this flyer are based on airfares, land rates and exchange rates in effect January 2007 and on group rates of 32 passengers or more. All prices are subject to change without notice prior to departure due to major currency fluctuations, fuel prices and/or unforeseen economic circumstances.

* 119-91 days before departure $250 pp;

* 30-1 day prior to departure date or no show – No Refund.

The story of Medjugorje begins on June 24, 1981, when six teenagers reported that they had encountered the Blessed Virgin Mary on a hillside near the village. The children described the Lady as being very young and indescribably beautiful, possessing dark hair and blue eyes. Dressed in gray and white, she wore a white veil with an arc of stars appearing above her head. On the third day of the apparitions, the teenagers asked who she was, and the lady replied,

“I am
the Blessed Virgin Mary.”

FRANKFURT/SPLIT/MEDJUGORJE

Arrive Frankfurt Airport in the morning and connect with Croatia Airlines from Frankfurt to Split. Arrive Split Airport and continue by motor coach to Medjugorje. Arrive Medjugorje in the evening where our Host Family will be waiting for us with a home cooked meal.

Thursday, September 25 - Monday, September 29, 2008
MEDJUGORJE

During our stay in peaceful Medjugorje, we will meet and share our faith with thousands of pilgrims from all over the world.
Each morning at 10, we will assemble at St. James Church for the English language Mass.

Our local guide will accompany us during our stay as we follow the same path up the Apparition Hill where the young visionaries first encountered Our Lady.

Contemplate the inspired artistry of the bronze plaques depicting each mystery of the rosary as we climb Podbrdo Hill.

Touch and pray before the cross, commemorating the spot where Mary appeared to the visionaries. We will see from afar and then climb Krizevac Mountain, where in 1933 the villagers built a 30’ high cross on the anniversary of Jesus’ crucifixion. Today wooden crosses and bronze images line the path up the hill, representing the Stations of the Cross.

Our guide will arrange a meeting with one of the visionaries in front of their own homes or at a public place (subject to their schedule and health).

In the evening, we can join the villagers and pilgrims for the evening Croatian Mass and the blessing of the sick.

We will spend time in prayer and meditation at the most peaceful place where our Blessed Mother first appeared to the children.

MEDJUGORJE/DUBROVNIK

After breakfast and Holy Mass at St. James Church, we depart peaceful Medjugorje to Dubrovnik, the “Pearl of the Adriatic”. In the afternoon, visit one of the world’s oldest pharmacies, the medieval walls and historical buildings including a rector’s palace, monasteries and the harbor. A visit to the Basilica of St. Blaise, the patron saint of Dubrovnik and the many historical churches will be great blessings.

DUBROVNIK/LOS ANGELES

Transfer to Dubrovnik Airport to take our Croatia Airlines and Delta Airlines flights back to Los Angeles.
