ATHENS/CORINTH/ATHENS
This morning climb up the marble-capped Acropolis and visit the famous Parthenon and Erechteum; then the nearby Mars’ Hill where the Apostle Paul delivered his well-known sermon. Later a panoramic tour of the highlights of modern Athens: The Presidential Palace, the Olympic Stadium and the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Afternoon drive over the Corinthian Canal to Corinth to visit the places associated with the ministry of St. Paul.

ATHENS/DELPHI/ATHENS
Drive to the fertile plain of Boeotia, crossing the town of Thebes, connected with the tragedy of King Oedipus, on your way to the towns of Levadia and Arachova. On to the slopes of Mt. Parnassos, lies the archaeological site of Delphi. We visit the Sanctuary of Apollo, the Treasury of the Athenians, the amphitheater and the Museum.

Transfer to the port of Piraeus for the 3-Day Cruise to the Greek Isles and Turkey. Embarkation and sail for Mykonos. In the afternoon call at Mykonos. Stroll at leisure through the whitewashed, flower-decked alleyways to the sculpture church of Paraportiani or along the waterfront of “Little Venice”. Sail to Rhodes.

RHODES (CRUISE)
In the morning we call at Rhodes, built by a Crusading Order that originated from Palestine. Our optional (not included) half-day excursion visits the Temple of Athena on the rocky Acropolis of Lindos, with the blue Aegean Sea beneath it and the sophisticated whitewashed artists’ colony at its foot. Afternoon free to stroll around the medieval walked city. Sail to Patmos.

PATMOS/KUSADASI (EPHESUS)
Arrive in the morning at Patmos, the rocky island where the Apostle John wrote the Book of Revelation. Our optional excursion (not included) will take us to the Monastery of St. John the Evangelist, and the Grotto of the Revelation. Sail to Kusadasi. Visit ancient Ephesus where Paul preached to the Ephesians and lived for three years. Also nearby visit the House of the Virgin Mary, where it is believed the Virgin spent her last days with the Apostle John. After dinner, transfer to Izmir Airport to take our flight to Istanbul. ISTANBUL
First, visit the Blue Mosque, the 17th century Ottoman Mosque famous for its six minarets and magnificent interior with blue tiles, and then the Hippodrome. Continue to St. Sophia, the masterpiece of Byzantine architecture. Afternoon proceed and visit Suleymaniye Mosque, and Topkapi Palace to see the dazzling displays of the treasures of the Ottoman Sultans.

Morning cruise on the Bosphorus, the winding strait that separates Europe and Asia. Enjoy the view of the old wooden mansions, Ottoman palaces, and ancient fortresses. Then transfer to Istanbul Airport to take our flight to Tel Aviv and by bus to Jerusalem.

We start our day with the Mount of Olives, Church of Pater Noster, down to Dominus Flevit and St. Mary Magdalene Church. On to the Garden of Gethsemane and Bethlehem. On the way back we stop in Ein Karem to visit the Church of the Visitation.

OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM/JERICHO
We enter the Old City of Jerusalem to visit the Church of St. Anne, and follow the Stations of the Cross to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We walk through the Cardo to the Western Wall. On Mount Zion, we visit the Room of the Last Supper, the House of Caiaphas and the Church of St. Peter. In Jericho see the old excavations and Mount of Temptation.

Depart Jerusalem to Haifa and visit Stella Maris Carmelite Monastery and Church. Stop in Nazareth, visiting the Church of the Annunciation, the Church of St. Joseph and on to Cana, where Jesus performed His first public miracle. Later visit Capernaum, Tabgha and the Sea of Galilee.

ISRAEL/MADABA/MOUNT NEBO/DEAD SEA
This morning we cross over the River Jordan into Jordan. Proceed to Madaba, and visit the Church, home to a beautiful 6th century mosaic map of the Holy Land. From the summit of Mt. Nebo view the “Promised Land” and then see the newly discovered ruins of Bethany and the baptismal site. Then to the Dead Sea.

A most unforgettable day in Petra! Our visit of the Rose-Red city begins at the Siq, a winding canyon road. At the end of the passage, we will see Petra’s most beautiful monument – The Treasury. We will discover temples, royal tombs, a theater and channels.

MOUNT SINAI/ST. CATHERINE/CAIRO
A wake-up call at 2:00am for those who wish to make the four-hour climb to the top of Mount Sinai, which is believed to be the location where Moses received the Ten Commandments. Down to St. Catherine Monastery, built in the 6th century to protect what was believed to be the Burning Bush. Later, we drive through Sinai desert to Cairo.

CAIRO/CITADEL/CHURCHES
Today we will explore the famous Citadel of Saladdin and the Mohammed Ali Mosque, where we will enjoy a panoramic view of Cairo. In Old Cairo, visit the Hanging Church, the Coptic Museum and the Abu Serga Church, built over the cave which provided refuse to the Holy Family. Later, visit the Church of St. Mary in Zeitoun.
