A deposit of $350 plus $271 insurance (optional) payable to Adriatic Pilgrimages is required per person at the time of booking, but not later than October 25, 2007. Balance is due on or before November 30, 2007. Any booking after December 1, 2007 is subject to availability plus additional payment is required for late booking.

AMMAN/PETRA/DEAD SEA
This morning we drive to Petra for a most unforgettable day in the rose red city. We begin at the Siq, a winding canyon road. At the end of the passage, we will see Petra’s most beautiful monument – the Treasury. We will discover temples, royal tombs, a theater and water channels. Return to our hotel at the Dead Sea.

DEAD SEA/RIVER JORDAN/MOUNT NEBO/MADABA/AMMAN
We will enjoy the morning by the warm weather at the Dead Sea. Then we drive to Madaba to visit the church, home to a beautiful 6th century mosaic map of the Holy Land. From the summit of Mount Nebo view the “Promised Land” and then see the newly discovered ruins of Bethany and the baptismal site on the River Jordan. Continue to our hotel in Amman.

AMMAN/BORDER CROSSING/TIBERIAS
Today we depart Amman and drive down to the border crossing on the River Jordan. We cross into Israel and from there to our lodging in the winter rest of Tiberias. Wednesday, October 08, 2008
GALILEE/CAPERNAUM/MT BEATITUDES/RIVER JORDAN
Today we will explore the sites along the Sea of Galilee. Capernaum where Jesus preached in the synagogue, St. Peter’s House, Mount Beatitudes and Tabgha, where Jesus multiplied the loaves of bread and fish; and the baptismal site at the River Jordan. We will also enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.

TIBERIAS/CANA/NAZARETH/HAIFA/JERUSALEM
We drive to Cana, the traditional site where Jesus performed His first public miracle. Then to Nazareth to visit the Church of the Annunciation, the Holy Grotto and the Church of St. Joseph. We continue to Haifa and Mount Carmel to visit Stella Maris Carmelite Monastery and Elijah’s Cave. We continue to Jerusalem, stopping en route to see the Roman Aqueduct.

MOUNT OF OLIVES/GETHSEMANE/BETHLEHEM/EIN KAREM
We start our day with the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the Old City, then down to Dominus Flevit and St. Mary Magdalene Church. Pray at the Garden of Gethsemane and on to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, the Holy Manger and the Basilica of St. Catherine. On the way back, we stop in Ein Karem to visit the Church of the Visitation.

JERUSALEM/OLD CITY/MOUNT ZION
We enter the Old City of Jerusalem to visit the Church of St. Anne, the Pools of Bethesda and follow the Stations of the Cross to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We walk through the Cardo to the Western Wall. On Mount Zion, we visit the Room of the Last Supper, the House of Caiaphas and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu.

BETHANY/JERICHO
Today, we will have a leisurely drive to Jericho. Stopping in Bethany, known as the place where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. We visit the House of Mary, Martha and Lazarus and later we continue through the Judean Desert to Jericho. We will see the excavations of Old Jericho and Mount of Temptation. After some time at leisure, we return back to Jerusalem.

JERUSALEM/TABA BORDER CROSSING/ST. CATHERINE
This morning, we take our motor coach and drive down to Jordan Valley and then drive by Qumran, the Dead Sea, Masada and the city of Eilat. We cross the Taba border into Egypt. On to our lodging near St. Catherine Monastery. Tuesday, October 14, 2008
MOUNT SINAI/ST. CATHERINE/CAIRO
A wake-up call at 2:00am for those who wish to make the four-hour climb to the top of Mount Sinai, which is believed to be the location where Moses received the Ten Commandments. Down to St. Catherine’s Monastery, built in the sixth century to protect what was believed to be the Burning Bush. Later, we go to our hotel for breakfast and by bus through the Sinai Peninsula and the Suez Canal to our hotel in Cairo.

OLD CAIRO/CITADEL/CHURCHES
This morning we visit the famous Citadel of Saladdin, Mohammed Ali Mosque and enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Then to Old Cairo, visiting the Hanging Church and Abu Serga Church and later the Church of St. Mary in Zeitoun where many peopled witnessed the miraculous apparition of the Blessed Mother.

CAIRO/EGYPTIAN MUSEUM/PYRAMIDS/FAREWELL DINNER
Today we visit the Egyptian Museum with Tutankhamen’s fabulous treasures. Then leave to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Afternoon at leisure for shopping and prepare ourselves for a farewell dinner on the Nile River.
