OLD CAIRO/CITADEL/CHURCHES

This morning we visit the famous Citadel of Saladdin, Mohammed Ali Mosque and enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Then to Old Cairo, visiting the Hanging Church and Abu Serga Church and later the Church of St. Mary in Zeitoun where many peopled witnessed the miraculous apparition of the Blessed Mother.

CAIRO/EGYPTIAN MUSEUM/PYRAMIDS/FAREWELL DINNER

Today we visit the Egyptian Museum with Tutankhamen’s fabulous treasures. Then leave to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Afternoon at leisure for shopping and prepare ourselves for a farewell dinner on the Nile River.

This morning we take it easy as we start our drive towards Sinai, passing by the Suez Canal and the many Oasis scattered over the big desert. Arrive our lodging near St. Catherine Monastery.

MOUNT SINAI/ST. CATHERINE/TABA/AQABA/PETRA

A wake-up call at 2:00am for those who wish to make the four-hour climb to the top of Mount Sinai, which is believed to be the location where Moses received the Ten Commandments. Down to St. Catherine Monastery, built in the sixth century to protect what was believed to be the Burning Bush. Back to the hotel to refresh before taking our motor coach to Taba, where we take our boat to Aqaba, Jordan. From Aqaba, our tour guide we take us to our lodging in Petra.

PETRA/AMMAN

A most unforgettable day in Petra! Our visit of the “rose-red” city begins at the “Siq”, a winding canyon road. At the end of the passage, we will see Petra’s most beautiful monument – The Treasury. We will see and discover tombs, temples, water channels and a theater. In the afternoon, we take our bus and drive to Amman, the Capital of Jordan.

AMMAN/MADABA/MOUNT NEBO/RIVER JORDAN/AMMAN

This morning we drive to Madaba, home of a beautiful 6th century mosaic map of the Holy Land. From the summit of Mount Nebo view the “Promised Land” and then down to the newly discovered ruins of Bethany and the baptismal site. We return to our hotel in Amman.

AMMAN/JERASH/TIBERIAS

Drive to Jerash and visit one of the most preserved Romans cities with its colonnaded streets, temples, amphitheater and churches. Then down to the border crossing on the River Jordan. Continue to Tiberias.

GALILEE/CAPERNAUM/MOUNT BEATITUDES/TABGHA/RIVER JORDAN

Today we explore the sites along the Sea of Galilee. Capernaum where Jesus preached in the Synagogue, St. Peter’s House, Mount Beatitudes and Tabgha, where Jesus multiplied the loaves of bread and fish, and the baptismal site at the River Jordan. We will also enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.

TIBERIAS/CANA/NAZARETH/HAIFA/CAESAREA/JERUSALEM

We depart Tiberias and drive to Cana, where Jesus performed His first public miracle at the wedding. Today, we will have the opportunity to renew our wedding vows. Then to Nazareth, visiting the Church of the Annunciation and Holy Grotto and the Church of St. Joseph. Continue to Haifa and Mount Carmel to visit Stella Maris Carmelite Monastery and Elijah’s Cave. On our way to Jerusalem we stop in Caesarea to see the Roman Aqueduct.

MT. OF OLIVES/GETHSEMANE/BETHLEHEM/EIN KAREM

We start our day with the Mount of Olives, Church of Pater Noster, down to Dominus Flevit and St. Mary Magdalene Church, Garden of Gethsemane and on to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, Holy Manger, the Basilica of St. Catherine, the Milk Grotto and then the Shepherds’ Field. On the way back to Jerusalem, we stop in Ein Karem to visit the Church of the Visitation.

JERUSALEM/OLD CITY/MOUNT ZION

Early morning transfer to the Old City to walk the Way of the Cross as a group from the first station until we enter the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Visit Golgotha and the empty tomb of Our Lord. Back to the hotel for breakfast and later we return back to the Old City and enter through St. Stephen’s Gate to the Pools of Bethesda, and on through the bazaars to the Cardo and the Western Wall and the Dome of the Rock. On Mount Zion, we visit the Room of the Last Supper, the House of Caiaphas and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu.

BETHANY/JERICHO/JERUSALEM/AIRPORT

We depart Jerusalem and stop in Bethany, known as the place where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. As we continue through the Judean Desert, we arrive Jericho to see the excavations and Mount of Temptation. After some leisure time, we drive back to Jerusalem. The rest of the afternoon at leisure for shopping and personal activities. After dinner, transfer to Tel Aviv Airport to take our Delta Airlines flights back home.
