A deposit of $350.00 plus $271 insurance (optional) payable to Adriatic Pilgrimage is required per person at the time of booking payable to Adriatic Pilgrimages. Balance is due on or before July 6, 2009. Any booking after July 7, 2009 is subject to availability plus additional late fee penalty will apply.

All prices quoted in this flyer are based on airfares, land rates and exchange rates in effect December, 2008 and on group rates of 32 passengers or more. All prices are subject to change without notice prior to departure due to major currency fluctuations, fuel prices and/or unforeseen economic circumstances.
Please complete the booking form with full names as they appear on passports, and mail it to us with your deposit of $350.00 plus $271 (optional) Insurance. Receipt of your deposit shall act as your agreement to the terms and conditions herewith. Balance is due 90 days before departure date. If you cancel, the following cancellation charges will apply:

* 120 days prior to departure $25 pp;
* 119-91 days before departure $250 pp;
* 90-61 days prior to departure date $1,000 pp;
* 60-31 days prior to departure date $1,500 pp;
* 30-1 day prior to departure date or no show – No Refund

* Pilgrims are responsible for ensuring that their passports are in order and for securing any Visas Necessary.

Depart Atlanta on our Delta Airlines flight to New York and then to Cairo.

ARRIVE CAIRO

Arrive Cairo Airport in the morning where we will be welcomed to Egypt by our representative. We will visit the Church of St. Mary in Zeitoun, where many people witnessed the miraculous apparition of the Blessed Mother. In the afternoon, we will have mass at the Convent of the Sisters of St. Vincent de Paul and later have dinner and a restful night at our hotel.

MEMPHIS/PYRAMIDS/SPHINX

Today we leave for ancient Memphis to admire the 40-foot statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx. On to Sakkara’s Step Pyramid and the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. On the way back to our hotel, we stop at the Convent of the Sisters of St. Vincent de Paul for Holy Mass then back to our hotel to get ready for the dinner on the Nile River Cruise with entertainment.

OLD CAIRO/EGYPTIAN MUSEUM/CHURCHES

Today, we explore Cairo, visiting the famous Citadel of Saladdin, Mohammed Ali Mosque and enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Then to the Egyptian Museum with Tutankhamen’s fabulous treasures. Then leave for Old Cairo, visiting the Hanging Church, the Coptic Museum and Abu Serga Church. We conclude the day with a walk through the famous Cairo Bazaars. During the day, we will celebrate Holy Mass at the Convent of the Sisters of St. Vincent de Paul and later have dinner and overnight at our hotel.

CAIRO/SINAI

Today, after Holy Mass at the hotel, then breakfast and some time at leisure, we depart Cairo and drive by the Sadat Memorial then drive through the desert landscapes of the Sinai Peninsula with stops at some oases, the well of Moses, with evening arrival at our lodging near St. Catherine Monastery.

MT SINAI/ST. CATHERINE/TABA CROSSING/EILAT

A wake-up call at 2:00am for those who wish to make the four-hour climb to the top of Mount Sinai. We walk down to the famous St. Catherine’s Monastery, built in the sixth century to protect what was believed to be the Burning Bush. We go back to our hotel where we will have our mass. We drive in the Sinai Peninsula and cross the Taba crossing into Israel. Transfer to our hotel in Eilat on the Red Sea. The rest of the afternoon to rest and relax and later dinner and overnight.

EILAT/ MASADA /DEAD SEA/ JERUSALEM

This morning we take our coach and drive to Masada to see the excavations. Then we drive by the Dead Sea on our way to Jerusalem and will have mass in one of the churches on our way to the hotel.

MT. OF OLIVES/GETHSEMANE/BETHLEHEM/EIN KAREM

We start our day with the Mount of Olives, Church of Pater Noster, down to Dominus Flevit and St. Mary Magdalene
Church, Garden of Gethsemane and on to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, Holy Manger, and the Basilica of St. Catherine, where we celebrate Holy Mass, the Milk Grotto and then the Shepherds’ Field. Time at leisure in Bethlehem for shopping and religious activities. On the way back to Jerusalem, we stop in Ein Karem and visit the Church of the Visitation. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Jerusalem.

JERUSALEM/OLD CITY

This morning, we enter the Old City of Jerusalem through St. Stephen’s Gate to visit the Church of St. Anne, the Pools of Bethesda and follow the Stations of the Cross to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Visit Golgotha, and the empty tomb of Our Lord. We walk through the Cardo to the Wailing Wall and Dome of the Rock. On to Mount Zion, visit the Room of the Last Supper, House of Caiaphas and Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu where we will celebrate Holy Mass.

BETHANY/JERICHO/DEAD SEA

We depart Jerusalem and stop in Bethany, known as the place where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. We celebrate Holy Mass at the House of Mary and Martha, and then we continue through the Judean Desert, we arrive Jericho to see the excavations and Mount of Temptation and the Sycamore tree. Time to go to the Dead Sea and experience floating before we return back to our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

JERUSALEM/ CAESAREA/MT. CARMEL/HAIFA/NAZARETH/CANA

We drive by the Mediterranean Sea to Caesarea with its Roman temple, aqueduct, royal palace, the amphitheater and public buildings. We go to Mount Carmel to visit Stella Maris Carmelite Monastery and Elijah’s Cave and onto Haifa. We depart to Nazareth, visiting the Church of the Annunciation then to Cana, the traditional site where Jesus performed His first public miracle and have our mass there.

GALILEE/CAPERNAUM/MOUNT BEATITUDES/TABGHA/MOUNT TABOR

Today we explore the sites along the Sea of Galilee. Capernaum where Jesus preached in the synagogue, St. Peter’s House, Mount of Beatitudes, and then to Tabgha, where Jesus multiplied the loaves of bread and fish; and a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Later, we drive to the top of Mount Tabor, the traditional site of Jesus’ transfiguration. We celebrate Holy Mass in the Catholic Church before returning to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

MADABA/MOUNT NEBO/RIVER JORDAN

Today we cross the borders into Jordan. We visit Madaba and visit the Church, home to a beautiful 6th century mosaic map of the Holy Land. Then from the summit of Mt. Nebo, we view the “Promised Land” and the Dead Sea and later down to the River Jordan to see the newly discovered ruins of Bethany and the baptismal site. We drive to our hotel in Amman for dinner and overnight.

PETRA

We start the day with a mass at our hotel. A most unforgettable day in Petra! Our visit of the “Rose Red” city begins at the “Siq”, a winding canyon road. At the end of the passage, we will see Petra’s most beautiful monument – The Treasury. We will discover temples, royal tombs, a theater and a water channel.
