DEPOSIT AND BOOKING
A deposit of $350.00 plus Insurance (optional) $271 payable to Adriatic Pilgrimage is required per person at the time of booking, but not later than May 15, 2009. Balance is due on or before June 26, 2009. Any booking after June 27, 2009 will be subject to availability plus $100 late fee penalty will apply.
Rates shown reflect discount for payment made by check. You may make your final payment with your credit card but 4% additional processing fee will apply. Fuel surcharges are subject to change up to 25 days prior to departure date. Non USA citizens must obtain visa before their departure.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All prices quoted in this flyer are based on airfares, land rates and exchange rates in effect March 2009 and on group rates of 32 passengers or more. All prices are subject to change without notice prior to departure due to major currency fluctuations, fuel prices surcharges, airport taxes and security surcharges, and/or unforeseen economic circumstances.
Please complete the booking form with full names as they appear on passports, and mail it to us with your deposit of $350 per person plus $271 insurance (optional). Receipt of your deposit shall act as your agreement to the terms and conditions herewith. Balance is due 90 days before departure date. If you cancel, the following cancellation charges per person will apply: 120 days or more before departure date $25 pp; 119-91 days or more before departure $250pp; 90-61 days prior to departure date $1,000pp; 60-31 days prior to departure date $1,500pp; 30-1 day prior to departure date or no show – No Refund.

LISBON/SANTAREM/FATIMA

Arrive Lisbon Airport at 8:20am where we will be welcomed by our tour escort and bus driver. We will have a panoramic tour of Lisbon with visits to the Basilica of St. Anthony of Padua, St. Jeronimo’s Monastery and Belem Tower. Continue to Santarem, home to one of the oldest Eucharistic miracles in the world. Arrive Fatima later in the afternoon.

FATIMA

We spend the day in and around Fatima. Visit the Chapel of the Apparitions, the Basilica with the tombs of Francisco and Jacinta, Perpetual Adoration Chapel, Monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In Aljustrel and Valinhos, we see the two homes of the little shepherds, Stations of the Cross, site of the first and third visit of the “Angel of Peace”, site of our Lady’s fourth apparition; we stop at the Parish Church where the seers were baptized, and the cemetery where Francisco and Jacinta were once buried. After dinner, participate in the nightly candlelight procession.

FATIMA/AVILA

Depart Fatima to Avila. We walk the narrow cobblestone streets of the city as we trace the life of St. Teresa of Avila. Visit the Monastery of the Incarnation, Teresa’s Cell and the relics of St. Teresa and St. John of the Cross and end our tour at the Cathedral of Avila.

AVILA/ZARAGOZA/LOURDES

Drive to Zaragoza and visit the Shrine of Our Lady of the Pillar, the second most popular pilgrimage site in Spain. The magnificent altar in the Basilica, built on the site where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to St. James. We see the Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin marble statue and other numerous chapels and artworks. Arrive Lourdes in the evening.

LOURDES

During our stay in Lourdes, we will visit the historical and spiritual sites associated with Bernadette, the visionary child of Lourdes. We begin with Holy Mass at the Grotto of the Apparitions, and then continue on a guided walking tour visiting the Basilica of St. Pius X, Boly Mill, Soubirous family home, the Basilica of the Rosary, Miraculous Spring and the Healing Baths.

LOURDES/NICE

We depart Lourdes and drive to the beautiful French Riviera, passing through many beautiful cities on the Mediterranean Sea. Arrive Nice and transfer to our hotel for dinner; afterwards we can take a walk along the Boulevard Des Anglais, and enjoy the beautiful scenery on the Mediterranean Sea.

NICE/PISA/FLORENCE

This morning we depart Nice and stop for a view of Monte Carlo and Monaco Principality. We cross the border into Italy and drive towards Pisa for a short visit of the Leaning Tower and adjacent church and buildings. Continue to Florence, the splendid capital of Tuscany.

FLORENCE/ASSISI

In the morning, we tour Florence with its magnificent Santa Maria Del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistery, the heavy bronze “Gate of Paradise”, and sculpture studded Signoria Square. In the afternoon, we drive to Assisi.

ASSISI/CASCIA/ROME

This morning we explore the hilltop birthplace of St. Francis. In the crypt of St. Francis Basilica lies the tomb of one of the most beloved saints of all time, St. Francis of Assisi. See the Basilica of St. Clare, the Church of St. Damian, Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and the Porziuncola. On to Cascia, the site of a Eucharistic miracle. Visit the Basilica of St. Rita and the Chapel with St. Rita’s incorrupt body. Continue to Rome.

CANONIZATION CELEBRATION/ROME

Transfer to the Vatican City to join pilgrims from all over the world and celebrate with them the canonization of our beloved Father Damien de Veuster. After the canonization, we will visit St. Peter’s Basilica and the crypt of Pope John Paul II and the remainder of the afternoon we will have time at leisure on our own to explore the places around the Vatican City and do some shopping before returning to our hotel.

ROME/VATICAN MUSEUM/BASILICAS

Today we visit the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel to admire the works of Michelangelo and many other artists. Then we visit the major Basilicas of Rome: St. Mary Major, St. John in Lateran and the Holy Stairs.

ROME/CATACOMBS/IMPERIAL ROME

This morning we drive the Appian Way to the Catacombs to visit the places where the early Christians hid during the persecution. Then we visit the beautiful Basilica of St. Paul’s Outside the Walls and later, we drive by Imperial Rome seeing the Coliseum, the Forum, the Spanish Steps and the many fountains and squares in Rome.
